The Story Behind Royal Limousine
Our founder Charles Royal’s commitment to service began long before the company opened its doors. During his service in the United States Marine Corps, Charles specialized in ground operations, work that instilled the preparation, punctuality, safety, and accountability that still shape how we run every reservation.
In 2006, Charles faced a deeply personal challenge while receiving treatment for Stage IV leukemia at Duke Medical Center in North Carolina. During that time, he set three goals: regain his health, graduate from college, and build a world-class chauffeured transportation company for the Gulf Coast. He carried those goals home to Mobile.
After overcoming leukemia, he graduated from the University of South Alabama in 2012 with a degree in social work, and in January 2014 he founded Royal Limousine with a clear mission: to raise the standard for luxury car and limousine service along the Gulf Coast through honesty, integrity, reliability, safety, and excellence.
What began as a personal dream became a family-owned company built on resilience, service, and a sincere desire to care for people well.

For Charles, luxury is not defined by the vehicle alone. It is reflected in how you feel throughout the experience: confident when you book, informed before the car arrives, comfortable during the ride, and certain we will follow through. He often returns to Maya Angelou’s words:
“People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
That philosophy guides every trip we take, whether the reservation is for an executive heading to a meeting, a couple on their wedding day, or a family beginning a long-awaited vacation.
Professional Standards You Can Count On
Our chauffeurs complete PAX Chauffeur Professional Training in passenger safety and care, defensive driving, professional conduct, clear communication, and vehicle presentation, and we are proud members of the National Limousine Association.
Before each reservation, we review the timing, pickup location, route, and passenger needs, and depending on the service you may receive your chauffeur’s information, vehicle details and tag number, tracking access, and a direct contact number.
The goal is simple: no uncertainty, no chasing anyone for an update, and no wondering whether the transportation has been handled. When plans change, we adjust and handle everything so you can stay focused on the occasion.

We serve clients across Mobile, the Alabama Gulf Coast, and surrounding areas, covering everything from business travel and airport rides to weddings, social outings, local tours, and milestone celebrations.
Through a network of trusted transportation partners, we can also coordinate chauffeured service for clients traveling beyond the Gulf Coast while maintaining the same level of communication and care they receive locally.
Giving Back to Our Community
Mobile is home, and service here has always extended beyond our paying clients. We have provided complimentary transportation to local nonprofit organizations for fundraising and charity events, partnered with Shell Chemical and Vertex Energy to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and continue to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, a cause especially close to Charles’s heart. We are also active in the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce.
In 2024, we were honored to be named Best Limo Company in Mobile. The recognition belongs as much to the clients who have trusted us over the years as it does to our team.
